Pencil and Charcoal realistic portrait drawing of Queen Elizabeth II with a colourful, textured Union Jack background.

Pending Permission

“HER MAJESTY: QUEEN ELIZABETH II”

After reigning for almost 70 years, the UK’s longest-serving monarch, Queen Elizabeth II passed away on September 8th, 2022. To honour Her Majesty, this portrait I created is a mix of graphite pencil, charcoal and digital art.

As I navigate the world of Art that is so new to me, I find myself learning new things in this industry. One of those things is how important it is to give credit to other creators/designers/photographers that inspire the work that I create. In addition to giving credit, it may be necessary to request permission prior to selling prints. I’m still learning what this means for my art piece and whether or not I need to request permission from Queen Elizabeth’s Estate, but I think it is a good place to start. I wish to find my place in this world as an artist that is free to express artistic freedom, while also doing my best to respect the Estate of Queen Elizabeth II and any potential Copyright Laws on her likeness. For this reason, this art piece is pending permission from The Estate of Queen Elizabeth II and will currently not be available for sale unless permission is given. Thank you for your patience and understanding. ❤️

“Though we each lead different lives, the experience of growing older, and the joys and emotions which it brings, are familiar to us all.” ~ Queen Elizabeth II ~
